Lily, age 6 mos.
Domestic short hair
McClendon St.

I was born with feline herpes in my eyes. At two weeks, I was taken from my mother and dumped at a no-kill shelter in Austin. The nice people bottle-fed me 24 hours a day until I could eat on my own. They tried to save my eyes, but they got worse and the vet removed them when she spayed me. Mom found out on Facebook that I needed a home and drove there to meet me. She fell in love with me at first sight and brought me to Houston. I may be completely blind, but I have no trouble getting around the house. I know where my food and litter boxes are and love to play with crinkly paper and aluminum foil balls. Mom already had four cats, and I like to jump on them and wrestle. I don’t understand why they hiss at me. I just want to have fun.
