Henry Hamilton, Reagor Wagnon, Chris Leyh and Austin Miller (pictured, from left) recently became Eagle Scouts. For his project, Henry, a senior at The Kinkaid School, cleared land at the Houston Arboretum and Nature Center to create open soil for new trails and the replanting of trees devastated by drought. Chris, a senior at Memorial High School, cleared and reconstructed a flower and vegetable garden to be used by teachers and students at Yellowstone Academy. Reagor, a Kinkaid junior, demolished an old fence and prepared for the installation of a new fence at the House of Tiny Treasures, a daycare and early-childhood education center for homeless infants. Austin, a senior at Strake Jesuit, constructed 20 roll-out storage boxes for residents of Parks Youth Ranch, a home for at-risk youth. These new Eagle Scouts are all part of Troop 354 at St. Martin’s Episcopal Church.
