Zoe Marosis and Anna Lillig

Pershing Middle School student Zoe Marosis and Pin Oak’s Anna Lillig (pictured) fight for the ball during the recent rivalry soccer game. The game was held at Pin Oak, and students from both schools came out to support their teams and visit with friends from the opposing school. Many of the girls who played against each other during this middle school game are friends, and play together on Express soccer teams outside of school. The teams were a good match up, and played for second and third place in the district. Pin Oak scored the first goal and spent a good part of the game defending that goal. Pershing then followed with two goals to win the game, 2-1.
